Matt Leach

Matt Leach is a commercial portrait & product photographer, owner of studios in North London & Birmingham.

Matt always loved photos and photography. His father was an enthusiastic hobbyist photographer who owned an SLR camera that he would never let Matt play with, of course, this made Matt fascinated by it. His mother was a hairdresser and he spent many childhood hours looking through her hair magazines while she worked. He thinks that subconsciously this is where his inspiration comes from.

Matt has worked with many designers and is published internationally, including many covers.

Beth said...I shot with Matt for the first time yesterday and he is an absolute delight to work with. Matt directed me to my preference, and I admired his very unique talent that he has behind a camera. He knows what he wants and he knows what he has to do to get it. The pictures that we made are stunningly beautiful and emotive. The lighting was perfect and the studio was fantastic. We shot for a very short time, however I have had the most fun I've had on a shoot in a long time. What a shoot! I cannot wait to work with you again!

Josif said... After seeing Matt’s work online I was excited to work with him and create some great images. After meeting him I was not disappointed. Not only did Matt create a fun and relaxed environment to shoot in we managed to have the Craic and create some brilliant images. Would highly recommend and look forward to working with him again in the near future.

Although our concepts to date have been quite simple; Matt gave me an extremely large amount of reference material to work from; ensuring the styling matched the feel that he was trying to convey. His communication is great and he is not afraid to say if something is not working to ensure a great shot.

Catriona said... Matt is friendly and aware of treating the models well. He gave them privacy without asking and asked them if it was ok to re position clothing before he did so. He returned images very very quickly and to a good standard and was happy to accommodate by requests when it came to editing them. I would definitely give Matt the time of day for a shoot, it's nice to find reliable photographers who return well edited images, quickly.
